Sunday School - 9:45 A.M. Adult SS Children's SS

It has been said that the purpose of the church is to 1) exalt the Savior, 2) equip the saints, and 3) evangelize the sinners. It is essential that we study God's word in order to understand that we are all sinners and all need his transforming Spirit living within. Through the study of God's word in a variety of settings and formats, we strive to provide opportunities for personal growth. Weekday and weekend Bible Studies for women, Sunday School for all ages, and LIFE Classes offer many opportunities for learning and sharing.

No less important than worship for Christian life and growth is Christian education. We must not stray from the traditional teachings of Christianity, and the way to preserve them is to pass them on from one generation to another.

First Baptist has classes for all ages with a curriculum designed to meet the needs of each age group. Adult classes choose their curriculum according to the interests of the members. Bible study, contemporary social issues, and Christian discipleship are of primary importance.

Sunday School greeters are stationed at the entrances each Sunday morning to assist newcomers in finding the appropriate class.

Children's Ministry

The goal of the Children's Ministry at FBC is to help children know God and become active disciples of Jesus Christ. A growing number of opportunities are available. Children's Church, ages 4 & 5, and Sunday School are a part of the children's ministry throughout the year. A fun time for kids, Terrific Tuesdays, takes the kids on various outings. Vacation Bible School, one week during the summer, engages children in Bible Study lessons that are built around a broad theme. MOSAIC Arts Camp is a special event "mentoring our students artistically in Christ." Special events during the school year such as "Fall Festival" are planned with interactive activities for all ages of children. The children experience positive Christian fellowship as they grow in Christian faith. They practice spiritual habits such as prayer, worship, attendance and service to others and share their gifts of giving to God and caring for others.

Sunday School Classes available for children & youth ages birth - 17 years. Please check with our greeters to find the appropriate class for you.
